Paramount Theatre

After being inundated by eight feet of floodwater in 2008, the Paramount Theatre, listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, needed extensive repair and restoration. An analysis of the composition determined the original color scheme as well as the painting and plaster techniques. Even the new carpet design was inspired by an extant piece of the original. The comprehensive efforts of CSS artisans to return historically accurate grandeur to every surface of this beautiful theatre included gilding, glazing, stencils, and trompe l’oiel.
