Challenge

To design an image of the Holy Family during the teenage years of Christ. This was conceived as a comfort for families raising teens.

Solution

The design by CSS depicts a young Jesus who is intended to universally represent his age group. Mary holds his hand, Joseph touches his shoulder, and they stand united as a family. The life-sized statue was fabricated from linden wood harvested in the Slovenia region of Yugoslavia.

Conrad Schmitt Studios has also enhanced the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and Tabernacle of St. James Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin with Leptat® etched glass installations and a hand carved crucifix.
