St. Mary Catholic Church
Menasha, Wisconsin
Over the years, the elaborate decoration of St. Mary disappeared behind simpler paint schemes. With the desire to return the rich Gothic Revival decoration, Conrad Schmitt Studios’ artists developed a design rendering as a plan to return the original jewel-like grandeur. The ornate decoration includes 25 stencil patterns and 44 colors. Murals include 12 apparitions of Our Lady from throughout the world, possibly the first such collection of its kind. CSS developed brochures and information boards to assist in communicating the various details of the project with the parish. The work was completed in phases to allow for continuous use of the church during various liturgical seasons and to help generate enthusiasm and funding for the completion of the project.
