University of Notre Dame, Geddes Hall Chapel

Notre Dame, Indiana

Dedicated in 2009, Geddes Hall Chapel features a stained glass window behind the altar showing an image of Our Lady’s welcoming of all people with understanding, compassion, and sympathy. Additional windows in the chapel illustrate the seven corporeal works of mercy: Saints Vincent de Paul and Jane Frances de Chantel, feeding the hungry and giving drink to the thirsty; Martin of Tours, clothing the naked; Mother Teresa of Calcutta, welcoming the stranger; Andre Bessette, caring for the sick; Martin de Pores, visiting the prisoner; and The Myrrh-Bearing Women of the Gospel, burying the dead.
